Ex-Wiz employee Guy Kozliner has launched a new cybersecurity startup named Rig, emerging from stealth with a $12 million Seed funding round. The company focuses on solving identity management challenges in enterprise environments, specifically tackling the proliferation of non-human identities and AI agents.
Mapping Hidden Access Paths
According to Kozliner, security teams are overwhelmed by the sheer volume of access credentials, while attackers actively exploit existing permissions to move laterally across corporate networks. The problem has grown exponentially with the adoption of automated agents that can utilize human or service privileges at speeds that defy manual oversight.
To counter this, Rig developed a proprietary machine learning engine called RICE. The system analyzes more than 20 distinct attributes—including organizational mapping, permission groups, behavioral patterns, and endpoint data—to correlate disparate accounts belonging to the same entity, even without a shared email address.
"For one employee, you might have a standard account, a cloud administrator account, and a token generated for an automated process. Our engine connects the dots to map the exact blast radius," says Kozliner.
Backing from Industry Heavyweights
The $12 million Seed round was co-led by Ten Eleven Ventures and Brightmind Partners, with participation from CrowdStrike’s Falcon Fund and prominent angel investors, notably Ami Luttwak, Kozliner's former CTO at Wiz.
Rig employs large language models to analyze complex non-human identity scenarios, translating raw telemetry into actionable attack-path graphs and risk scoring matrices that help security teams prioritize vulnerabilities without disrupting critical business processes.
