American guard Shake Milton is close to signing with Hapoel Jerusalem for the upcoming season. The Reds were in talks with the player, who was also of interest to Maccabi Tel Aviv, and it appears the pressure they applied may lead to his arrival in the capital. In Jerusalem, they hope to complete the deal and, after Dusan Miletic is also presented at the club, finalize the roster for the upcoming season.

Milton (29, 1.96m) is a 2018 graduate of SMU, selected 54th in the draft that same year. He played five seasons for Philadelphia, averaging 13 points per game in the 2019/20 season. Afterward, he began moving between teams, struggling to find a home in the best league in the world. Among others, he played for Minnesota, Detroit, New York, Brooklyn, and the Los Angeles Lakers. In total, he played 359 games in the NBA and recorded 8.2 points per game.

Last season, Milton left the United States for the first time when he signed with Partizan Belgrade. He recorded 6.9 points per game in the EuroLeague and 12.8 points on average in the Adriatic League.

The Reds' backcourt includes Jared Harper, Roi Huber, and Eitan Burg, who are continuing from last season, alongside Jaleen Smith, who joined the team this season.
