Leeds United staged an impressive comeback, overturning a two-goal deficit to defeat Liverpool 4:2 in a friendly match held in Chicago on Sunday night. Dominic Calvert-Lewin starred for the winners, scoring a brace during a dominant second-half performance.

Liverpool took the lead in the 7th minute when Luke Chambers converted a corner kick delivered by Dominik Szoboszlai. Five minutes before halftime, the Reds doubled their lead following a fluid team move, with Florian Wirtz finishing a cross from Jeremie Frimpong.

The turning point arrived in the 60th minute. A mistake by Milos Kerkez allowed Brenden Aaronson to narrow the gap, and shortly after, Dominic Calvert-Lewin equalized following a long throw-in. A careless turnover by Curtis Jones then allowed Sean Longstaff to put Leeds ahead. Calvert-Lewin sealed the 4:2 victory five minutes from time.

Regarding Jeremie Frimpong, who was substituted due to discomfort, the coach reassured fans:

"I don't think it's an injury. It was just fatigue, and I hope he is fine. We haven't lost any players to injury today."

Reflecting on the match, the coach added:

"We learned a lot. This was our most useful friendly match—with positives in the first half and negatives in the second. We will draw the right conclusions from this."
