Historic Record: New Spider-Man Surpasses Avengers in Advance Ticket Sales
The new film "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" has set a historic record in the US, grossing $72 million in advance ticket sales and surpassing "Avengers: Endgame."

The new film from Sony and Marvel, "Spider-Man: Brand New Day," is already accumulating huge revenues at the box office. The film grossed $72 million from advance ticket sales, the highest amount ever recorded for a film in the US before its opening weekend.
According to CNBC, it surpassed the previous record holder, "Avengers: Endgame," which grossed $60 million in advance sales ahead of its 2019 release.
"The demand for 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' is simply amazing," said Paul Dergarabedian, senior media analyst at Rentrak. "A film that grosses more than $70 million from advance screenings is a precedent, and it reflects the huge enthusiasm of moviegoers to get to the theaters to watch the new Marvel film."
