Syrian media reported that the IDF attacked a vehicle using a drone in the area of the village of Beit Jinn in the Damascus countryside. At this stage, there are no further details on the incident. The report comes in a week in which Israel carried out an unusual strike on Syrian territory that raised the level of tension between the two countries once again. This refers to the strike on the Abu al-Duhur military airport in Idlib, which caused heavy damage to runways and facilities. According to Israel, the strike was carried out due to information that Turkey intended to deploy its forces at the facility. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu personally addressed the unusual strike this week and said:
"We will not tolerate a Turkish military entrenchment that moves south, because it threatens us, and we have made that clear in general terms. We saw that there was an intention by Turkey to establish itself at an airport south of its line, close to Aleppo, and we sent a message – Don't. The message was passed, but apparently it was not heard. So we made sure they understood."
