Report: Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez's Wedding Date Revealed
After a decade together and eight months since their engagement, the football star and his partner are expected to marry next Saturday on the island of Madeira. The Funchal Cathedral and a luxury hotel are reportedly preparing for the event.

The rumor mill is in full swing: according to 'The Sun', Cristiano Ronaldo and his partner Georgina Rodriguez are expected to marry next week on the island of Madeira, where the Portuguese star was born and raised.
Local reports indicate that the cathedral in the island's capital, Funchal, has been booked for a major event this coming Saturday. The location is deeply significant to the 41-year-old athlete, as it sits just 2.5 km from his birthplace and about 5 km from his youth club, Nacional. Ronaldo and 32-year-old Georgina have allegedly also reserved the luxurious Savoy Palace hotel nearby for the post-ceremony reception.
A source stated that hotel guests have been informed that two floors and several bar areas will be unavailable on Friday and Saturday. While the couple has not officially confirmed the wedding, recent footage of them wearing diamond rings while boarding a yacht in Mallorca has fueled speculation.
Ronaldo met Georgina in 2016, and the pair got engaged last August. The former Manchester United and Real Madrid striker, who currently plays in Saudi Arabia, has previously spoken about his intentions to marry. He described his proposal as an improvised moment:
«It was at 1 a.m., I didn't plan it, but the kids said it was the moment. I'm not a guy for big gestures, but it was exciting and I knew she was the woman of my life.»
In an interview with Piers Morgan, Ronaldo emphasized that he intends to marry Georgina not only because she is the mother of his children, but because she is the person he loves most. Although many assumed the wedding would follow the World Cup, an official date remained elusive until now.
Since meeting in 2016, when Georgina worked as a saleswoman at a Gucci store in Madrid, the couple has become one of the most high-profile pairs in the world, raising five children together. Georgina previously told 'Elle' that they dream of an intimate wedding rather than an ostentatious display. She also discussed her engagement ring—a massive 35-carat oval diamond—which jewelry experts value at no less than five million euros, ranking it among the most expensive celebrity engagement rings in the world.
