Report in Germany: Terrorist from the Pride parade attack in Berlin eliminated
Berlin police have eliminated terrorist Abdul Balu, who carried out a vehicle-ramming attack at a Pride parade. One woman was killed and at least 17 people were injured in the incident.
Berlin police reported this Sunday evening that they have captured and eliminated terrorist Abdul Balu, who carried out an attack at the city's Pride parade yesterday. Another suspect of Iranian descent, believed to be the driver of the getaway vehicle, has been arrested.
According to local authorities, 21-year-old Balu was a member of the Islamist scene in Berlin. One woman was killed in the attack, and at least 17 people were injured.
In addition to the vehicle ramming, eyewitnesses reported stabbings. The police had previously released the suspect's photo, stating: "The police and the Berlin Public Prosecutor's Office are requesting assistance in the search for a fugitive man. Balu hit passersby with his vehicle and then fled."
