The food retail chain, Rami Levy Shivuk Hashikma, has published its financial results for the first half of 2026, indicating continued growth in activity volumes driven by an increase in customer traffic and an accelerated pace of branch openings. The company reported a sharp rise in profits resulting from improved operational efficiency, even as gross profitability remained stable.

The chain currently operates 62 branches, including three franchises and two wholesale locations under the 'Rami Levy for Business' format. The company has identified potential for approximately 25 additional discount branches in new areas, estimating that these openings will not cannibalize existing operations. Plans for the coming year include the launch of 2 new discount branches and 10 pharmacy locations.

Furthermore, the company intends to significantly expand its urban footprint through the 'Rami Levy in the Neighborhood' brand. There are currently 36 such neighborhood-format stores in operation, following the opening of two new locations in recent weeks.

CEO Yafit Attias, daughter of Rami Levy, commented on the results: "We are concluding a strong half-year with an approximate 14% increase in profits, despite the negative impact of the shekel's strengthening against the dollar. When neutralizing this impact, profit growth is even more significant. This demonstrates our ability to maintain operational efficiency during rapid expansion, thanks to strict expense management and the introduction of advanced technological monitoring tools."

The company's long-term strategic plan focuses on growth in food, pharmacy, and stock retail. In the coming year, the chain plans to open 2 discount branches, 10 pharmacy branches, and 3 additional stock branches, while accelerating the rollout of 'Rami Levy in the Neighborhood' stores in city centers. Meanwhile, the chain's cellular service continues to grow, with the subscriber base now approaching half a million.

"We continue to develop our private label, expanding variety and strengthening the brand through our agreement with Warner Bros. Combining these growth engines with a solid financial base allows us to invest in technology and customer experience. Crucially, this does not come at the consumer's expense; we remain committed to fighting the cost of living and providing affordable, quality products," Attias added.
