Four individuals have been arrested following a violent dispute between rival families in Rahat that involved physical brawls and gunfire. Security camera footage reviewed by law enforcement revealed a disturbing tactic: after the shooting, suspects fled the scene while children were dispatched to gather spent shell casings in an apparent attempt to obstruct the investigation.

Operating under a targeted task force in Rahat, police conducted extensive searches across residential compounds linked to the violence. Officers recovered three M16 rifles, two handguns, ammunition magazines, and a large quantity of 9mm and 5.56mm rounds. Investigators noted that using minors to clear evidence from crime scenes represents a deliberate effort to destroy forensic material and hinder prosecution.

In a separate development earlier on Wednesday, an indictment was filed against Ahmed Abu Gara, a young resident of Rahat, for illegal weapons possession and firearms discharge. According to the charge sheet, during a family feud near a local school, the suspect drew an M16 rifle, pointed it at relatives including his father, grandmother, and children, and fired into the air. He then fled onto school grounds, discharged the weapon again, and escaped. Despite security footage capturing the incident, the suspect denied the charges during interrogation, while prosecutors requested detention until the conclusion of legal proceedings.
