El Al Expands Americas Schedule with Record 35,000 Weekly Seats for 2027
El Al has announced its largest-ever flight schedule to the Americas for late March 2027, offering 35,000 weekly seats with increased frequencies to New York, Miami, and Los Angeles, alongside summer services to San Francisco and Buenos Aires.

El Al Israel Airlines announced an expansion of its flight schedule to the Americas starting in late March 2027, introducing increased frequencies on key routes and operating summer flights to San Francisco and Buenos Aires. According to the carrier, this initiative represents the largest flight offering the company has ever deployed to the Americas, totaling approximately 35,000 seats per week.
Miami, consistently one of the airline's most sought-after destinations year-round, will receive two additional weekly flights, bringing the route's total to nine weekly operations. Similarly, the Los Angeles service will be bolstered by an additional weekly flight, also reaching nine weekly departures. Core operations in the Americas will continue to center on New York, where El Al plans to operate 36 weekly flights utilizing both JFK and Newark Liberty International airports, offering up to seven daily departures from Ben Gurion Airport. Boston will see four weekly flights, with passengers able to leverage El Al's partnership with Delta Air Lines to connect to further destinations across the continent.
In addition to bolstering existing routes, El Al will operate three weekly summer flights to San Francisco for the first time. Two weekly flights are scheduled for Buenos Aires, Argentina, with the inaugural flight slated for the end of the month. Shlomi Zafrani, El Al's VP of Commercial and Industry Affairs, noted that the move reflects continued investment in the American market and the execution of the company's strategic plan to broaden its footprint across the Americas. The expansion unfolds against a backdrop of intensifying competition on direct routes between Ben Gurion Airport and the United States, where United Airlines, Delta, Arkia, and Israir operate alongside El Al, with competition heavily concentrated on New York services.
