What happened to Eldar Dayan? The version of his friends suspected of murder is revealed

Eldar Dayan's friends, Omri Peretz and Maxim Barberman, deny that they murdered him. In their interrogation, they presented their version of events and claimed that he died as a result of a brawl in which they had participated.

The two told investigators: "After we abandoned the vehicle at the gas station, we walked together towards the open area. Then we saw a police car and each of us ran in a different direction."

The friends claim that they lost contact with Dayan and returned by bus to Dimona. "We didn't understand where he was. We called him and he didn't answer."

Peretz and Barberman maintain that he was injured during a brawl with five residents of Petah Tikva, which preceded the abandonment of the vehicle at the gas station. "He was apparently hit in the head and, after we split up, he collapsed and died in the open area. We did not murder him."

Police investigators continue to suspect that the two attacked Dayan in the open area, murdered him, and hid his body.
