Tehila Aizman, a well-known social activist in Hadera, passed away this morning, Monday, at the age of 68, after collapsing during a Pilates class in the city. Aizman regained consciousness after resuscitation efforts, but her condition remained critical until her death was pronounced. She will be laid to rest tomorrow at the cemetery in Hadera.

Her daughter, Michal, describes her mother, who passed away just days before her 69th birthday, as a woman full of values and action:

«My mother is not on the list of people to whom something should happen. She is an anchor for so many circles. A super healthy woman who truly lived her life like a queen.»

For many years, the late Tehila was a dedicated educator and a respected teacher in Hadera. «She was the only teacher who stayed until the very last day before retiring. So dedicated to her students,» said her daughter Michal. Alongside her work, Tehila was also a fighter for justice who participated in public struggles.

Tehila dedicated most of her time and heart to her family, and especially to her grandchildren. «My mother is not just a grandmother, she raised my children together with me,» said Michal, whose husband serves as a lieutenant colonel in the IDF. «She replaced my husband when he was not at home.»

According to her, the bond between her children and their grandmother was exceptional: «I sat the children down and shared with them that something very, very unusual happened to grandma, and she is not coming back.» This moment of parting, in which she had to explain to her grandchildren that their beloved grandmother is no more, is, according to her, very cruel.

The difficult incident occurred last Thursday at a gym on Mordechai Carlitz Street in Hadera. Medical teams from United Hatzalah and MADA were called to the scene and found Aizman without a pulse and not breathing. The medical teams managed to restore her heart activity, and she was evacuated to the hospital. The family of the late Tehila decided to donate her organs.
