AC Milan announced on Friday that Christian Pulisic has signed a contract extension keeping him at San Siro until June 2031. The American winger joined the Rossoneri from Chelsea in July 2023 and has since become a cornerstone of the squad, scoring 44 goals and delivering consistent offensive contributions across 141 appearances for the Italian club.

Club officials highlighted Pulisic's technical ability, professionalism, consistency, and exceptional work ethic as the primary reasons behind the decision to prolong his deal. The 28-year-old player has recorded two goals and one assist in eight appearances this season.

The new agreement makes Pulisic the second-highest earner at Milan, with an annual salary of 6.5 million euros, which can reach up to 10 million euros with performance-based bonuses. He trails only new signing striker Gonçalo Ramos, who earns 7 million euros per season. Pulisic shares fifth place overall in Serie A alongside Inter's Nicolò Barella, while the league's top earners include Juventus's Kenan Yıldız at 7.2 million, Inter's Lautaro Martínez at 9 million, and Napoli's Kevin De Bruyne leading the pack with 10.5 million euros.

Expressing his commitment after signing, Pulisic stated:

"I am proud to renew my contract with Milan, I am in love with the team and the club. The support I have received all along the way made me realize this is the place for me. Milan has given me everything, it is like a home for me and I want to continue spending the coming years here."

Looking ahead to Saturday night's derby, the winger added that the squad is fully prepared for a challenging encounter against their city rivals.

"We know it will be a battle. I always want to score, not just in the derby, but above all I want to help the team and win. We know that Inter has been very strong in recent years and plays exceptionally well. If we do things right, we can win."
