Prepare the open space: Keychron mechanical keyboards arrive in Israel
Keychron, a leading brand in mechanical keyboards, is officially entering the Israeli market through distributor Ishpar. The launch includes a full range of peripherals backed by a two-year warranty.
Anyone who works in an open space knows this moment: the colleague at the next desk sits down at their mechanical keyboard and starts typing code, and the whole room fills with typing noises that are impossible to miss. Now, one of the brands most identified with the mechanical keyboard market, Keychron, is arriving in Israel via official import.
This is happening as Ishpar, known primarily as the official importer of Sony, begins marketing the products of the Chinese company Keychron in the country, including mechanical keyboards, ergonomic mice, and related accessories, with an official two-year warranty.
Relatively accessible price
Keychron keyboards have gained popularity over the last decade, offering a combination of high-quality keys and switches along with various features at a relatively accessible price point. The product line includes support for macOS and Windows, customizable RGB lighting, Bluetooth connectivity for up to three devices simultaneously, and wired connection via USB-C. A standout feature is Hot-Swap support, allowing for the replacement of switches and keys with a simple press and without the need for soldering.
Keychron, like most brands today, uses mainly Gateron switches and its own "in-house" switches (such as the K Pro series), rather than the original switches from the German company Cherry, which allows it to offer keyboards at a more competitive price.
New series and models
In the first stage, several series will arrive in Israel, including the new HE series, based on magnetic Hall Effect switches, which allow for higher accuracy and response speed. Unlike regular mechanical switches that detect a press through physical contact between two metal points, these magnetic switches contain a small magnet and a sensor that measures the key's travel distance with precision. This enables features such as setting the actuation point for each key individually and faster response times. Another advantage is significantly lower wear over time, as there is no direct mechanical contact between parts. The series will cost between 499 and 569 shekels for models like the K2 HE RGB.
The popular V and K series, which include more compact models, and the entry-level B1 Pro and C3 Pro series, will offer keyboards at prices ranging from 149 to 239 shekels. In addition, ergonomic mice like the M5 and M6 are offered starting from 189 shekels, alongside dedicated wrist support pads. Keychron will compete with established brands in the local market, such as Logitech and Razer.
