Prepare 35,310 shekels: James Bond's watch has landed in Israel
The luxury watch brand OMEGA is launching a special edition inspired by the new 007 video game. How much will this pleasure cost, what does the technical specification include, and where can it be obtained?
The boundary between the world of gaming and the world of luxury continues to blur. If in the past collaborations between high-fashion brands and video games were considered an unusual phenomenon, today it is one of the most prominent trends in the lifestyle world. Now, the Swiss watch brand OMEGA is joining this trend, launching in Israel a special edition born from the new James Bond video game. The new watch is arriving at the "Impress" chain of stores, and its retail price will be 35,310 shekels.
The new model appears as an integral part of the 007 game plot, developed by IO Interactive in collaboration with Amazon MGM Studios. The plot returns players to the beginning of James Bond's journey as a young agent in the service of MI6. While within the game world the watch serves as a fictional operational accessory that includes advanced capabilities such as jamming electronic systems, in the real world it has been translated into a physical luxury watch that brings to the wrist one of the most recognizable symbols associated with the secret agent's character.
In terms of design and technique, this is the first chronograph created as part of James Bond's Seamaster Diver 300M collection. The watch includes a 44 mm stainless steel case, a black ceramic bezel, black ceramic pushers, and a black dial decorated with the iconic wave pattern. Inside, it features the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 9900 mechanism, one of the brand's most advanced movements, offering a power reserve of up to 60 hours, high magnetic resistance, and water resistance up to a depth of 300 meters.
The watch strap was also designed with inspiration from the gaming world, combining black, gray, and beige tones alongside engravings of "007" and "First Light," and allows for replacement with other straps designed with inspiration from the characters and missions in the game. The new launch demonstrates how the long-standing partnership between OMEGA and the James Bond franchise continues to serve as an engine for design innovation and to turn a cinematic and digital accessory into a coveted item among watch collectors, fashion enthusiasts, and gaming fans.
