Wedding plans off: Michal HaKtanah and Yehuda Buchbut have broken up

Eight months after they surprised us all and faced a wave of intense public reaction, children's star Michal HaKtanah (43) and actor Yehuda Buchbut (25) have decided to part ways. According to a report published this evening on the Walla website, the couple has ended their relationship.

The news comes just as the relationship seemed to be heading in a serious direction: only a month ago, in honor of Tu B'Av, Buchbut gifted Michal a sparkling ring—a gesture many perceived as a clear hint toward the next stage. However, back in June, Buchbut admitted in a candid story that the two were dealing with a complex reality:

"We went through moments together that not everyone knows about, difficulties, pressure, and uncertainty. There were moments that could have broken people, but we chose to fight, to get stronger, and to keep moving forward."

The relationship began in late November 2025, following rumors that surfaced when they acted together in a play. Throughout their time together, the couple was under constant scrutiny, primarily due to their 18-year age gap. Buchbut did not shy away from critics; last February, he released his debut single, "A Thousand Reincarnations," dedicated to Michal, where he addressed the "jealous ones": "Age is just a number, eternal love, and even in another thousand reincarnations I will be yours."

They also faced criticism from within their inner circle: as we previously revealed in an exclusive report on mako celebrities, Buchbut admitted to friends at a cafe in Netanya that Yuli was unable to fully accept him or see him for who he is. But time, it seems, has taken its course. Following a conciliatory Q&A session on Instagram, Michal explained that things had calmed down and gained perspective, noting that Yehuda actually loved the schnitzels that Yuli prepared.
