First report: ServiceNow acquires Israeli startup Sweep for $400 million

American software giant ServiceNow continues to expand its presence in Israel. Geektime has learned that the company recently completed the acquisition of the Israeli startup Sweep. In response to an inquiry, ServiceNow confirmed the details of the transaction, though the companies did not officially disclose the amount. According to information reaching our editorial team, the startup was sold for $400 million.

Preparing the organization for the AI agent revolution

Sweep develops a product designed to resolve context gaps that arise in heavy enterprise systems such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, and Snowflake. Over time, these systems accumulate a surplus of configurations, automations, and permissions, creating technological vulnerabilities. This issue is exacerbated by the integration of AI agents, which drive rapid changes across various processes.

Sweep's platform connects to an organization's systems, continuously extracting metadata and mapping organizational logic without requiring a replacement of existing infrastructure. The technology is based on creating a unified metadata graph that automatically maps all dependencies within a single model. This allows development teams and AI agents to understand system behavior in real-time, perform impact simulations for changes, and implement them safely.

"Sweep's technology and expertise strengthen our AI-adapted development capabilities and advance the deployment of AI agents for CRM systems. The impact on customers is direct: faster time to value as they scale the use of agent systems," ServiceNow stated.

Simultaneously, the system activates specialized metadata agents that automatically handle maintenance tasks such as code documentation, monitoring, process analysis, and permission management, effectively making the enterprise infrastructure "AI-Ready."

Sweep was founded in 2021 by Ido Gever and Eran Kirschenbaum (who previously founded Flok and sold it to Wix). The company currently employs about 90 people across offices in Tel Aviv, New York, Lisbon, and Madrid. According to PitchBook, the company has raised approximately $57.6 million since its inception, with its last funding round (Series B) of $22.5 million led by Insight Partners with participation from Bessemer Venture Partners. The company's client list includes LG Electronics, Wix, Brex, NBC Sports, and Mass General Brigham.

History of acquisitions

ServiceNow has a long history of acquisitions in Israel. Over the past decade, it has acquired startups such as Neebula, SkyGiraffe, Appsee, and Loom. In recent years, the pace has accelerated significantly with the acquisition of Atrinet, the massive $7.75 billion deal for Armis, Pyramid Analytics in February 2026, Traceloop in March 2026, and the startup ai.work in July 2026.
