More than a million shekels per room: where was a 4-room apartment sold for 5.2 million shekels?

The annual housing price index of the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), published about three weeks ago, fell by 2% — the sharpest decline in the last 8 years. Furthermore, the Consumer Price Index for June brought annual inflation down to 1.6% after remaining unchanged. To shed light on the current state of the housing market, with the help of national brokerage chains, we checked which second-hand transactions were carried out in the last week and what the costs of the apartments were.

Beersheba

• A 3-room apartment on Bialik Street in the Aleph neighborhood, 84 sqm on the 2nd floor out of 2, was sold for 1.05 million shekels.

• A 4-room apartment on Kandel Street in the Old City neighborhood, 134 sqm on the 9th floor out of 22, was sold for 1.37 million shekels.

• A 4-room apartment on Beit El Street in the Tet neighborhood, 124 sqm on the 14th floor out of 30, with a 20 sqm balcony, elevator, parking, and a MAMAD (protected room), was sold for 1.8 million shekels.

• A 5-room apartment on HaTevuna Street in the Ramot neighborhood, 127 sqm on the 4th floor out of 6, with a 20 sqm balcony, elevator, parking, and a MAMAD, was sold for 2.16 million shekels.

Ashdod

• A 4-room apartment on HaShayatim Street in Quarter Dalet, 111 sqm on the 9th floor out of 9, with a 5 sqm balcony, elevator, and parking, was sold for 1.74 million shekels.

• A 4-room apartment on Kaftor HaHolot Street in Quarter Het, 98 sqm on the 3rd floor out of 4, was sold for 1.505 million shekels.

Jerusalem

• A 2-room apartment on Palmach Street in the Old Katamon neighborhood, 77 sqm on the 3rd floor out of 3, with an 8 sqm balcony, was sold for 3.1 million shekels.

• A 4-room apartment on Rabbi Halfta Street in the Old Katamon neighborhood, 104 sqm on the 5th floor out of 6, with a 12 sqm balcony, elevator, parking, and storage room, was sold for 5.225 million shekels.

Ramla

• A 4-room apartment on IDF Street in the Givora neighborhood, 88 sqm on the 3rd floor out of 4, was sold for 1.39 million shekels.
