Frozen gourmet food: The surprising food company founded by former Tnuva executives
The company "Food Good 18", founded by former executives from Tnuva and the food industry, is officially launching operations in the field of "frozen fine dining" — frozen gourmet food. Among the owners are Reuven Schlissel, Eyal Malis, and Avinoam Bar-Mocha. The product line includes frozen ramen, handmade Vietnamese nems, and meat stocks under the "Stock Factory" brand.
Former executives from Tnuva and the Israeli food industry have established a new food company called "Food Good 18", which is now officially launching operations in the "frozen fine dining" category. Among the company's owners are Reuven Schlissel (co-owner of Leiman Schlissel), Eyal Malis (former CEO of Tnuva and currently a partner in the superfood venture Mankai), Avinoam Bar-Mocha (former director of the institutional sector at Tnuva and CEO of Landwer), Sagi Cohen (former VP of business development at Tnuva), and expert chef Niv Cohen.
The company's products contain no additives or preservatives, and animal-based items carry the "Chai Bari" ("Healthy Animal") quality seal. The initial product line features frozen ramen soups based on meat and chicken stock with handmade noodles (one serving contains 52 grams of protein), alongside handmade Vietnamese nems filled with meat and vegetables.
Under the "Stock Factory" brand, the company markets a variety of stocks: beef bone stock, organic chicken stock from the Melamed farm, and organic mushroom stock. They also produce clarified beef fat for home frying, intended for keto diet enthusiasts and foodies.
"The company was born out of a passion for ready-made, unique culinary solutions that combine better nutrition with daily convenience. There are almost no competitors in the commercial ready-made food market today, except for Ruthie Broudo, whose products are chilled and not frozen," said Eyal Malis.
Avinoam Bar-Mocha added that the company plans to offer 20 products by the coming winter. Regarding pricing: half a liter of meat stock costs about 32 shekels, a 700-gram ramen package sells for 50–55 shekels, and a 5-unit package of nems costs 33 shekels.
