Israeli fintech startup PielaPay has announced the launch of a new service that allows employers to pay employee pension and social contributions using credit cards with installment options. The innovation aims to ease cash flow pressures for small and medium-sized businesses.

Until now, Israeli employers have been restricted to a single payment method for employee pensions: direct bank transfers for the full amount on a fixed monthly date. This rigid requirement often strained the monthly cash flow of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMBs).

The new service bridges open banking infrastructure with credit card processing. Through PielaPay, an employer makes a single consolidated payment via credit card, and the platform automatically distributes and allocates the funds to the respective financial institutions.

The automated system verifies receipt with insurance companies, matches reporting data with actual deposits, and operates entirely digitally without requiring human sales representatives. Additionally, employers utilizing the platform can accumulate credit card points and benefits based on their card terms.

"The connection we created between open banking and credit cards makes it possible to do something that was impossible until today: pay employee deposits by credit card, and even spread payments into installments. This is a significant step toward making payment management flexible and advanced for employers," said Yariv Yanai, co-founder and CEO of PielaPay.

PielaPay specializes in digital pension operations, social payments, and reporting management for employers and insurance agents in Israel. The platform handles end-to-end processing, including salary data ingestion, social contribution calculations, clearing, payment execution, and error resolution.

Founded by Yariv Yanai (CEO), Odelia Cohen (CPO), and Simon Cholsky (CTO), PielaPay won first place in the fintech competition hosted by the Israel Fintech Association and the Safra Institute for Banking and Financial Intermediation at Tel Aviv University. The company is recognized as a recommended service provider by major Israeli insurance and pension firms, including Menora Mivtachim, Clal Assurances, and Harel Assurances.
