Not in Ziv Arie's plans: Maccabi Petah Tikva captain received a surprising offer

Hapoel Kfar Shalem has approached Maccabi Petah Tikva in recent days with the aim of signing the team's captain, Muhammad Hindi. The National League club is interested in adding the defender, who is currently outside the plans of the new coach Ziv Arie and did not participate at all in the derby loss to Hapoel Petah Tikva in the first round of the Toto Cup.
In Maccabi Petah Tikva, there was disappointment following the 1:0 loss in the city derby, with the club hoping to recover as early as the second round against Maccabi Netanya. Coach Ziv Arie clarified after the match that the squad is not yet complete, and the club intends to add three more players, mainly for the attacking unit.
Hindi has played for Maccabi Petah Tikva for the last six years and has become one of the club's symbols, but it now appears that his status has changed. The one interested in signing him is Hapoel Kfar Shalem coach Noam Shoham, who coached Hindi last season in Petah Tikva and was promoted with him to the Premier League. Now, Shoham seeks to add the captain to the ranks of his new team in the National League.
The 31-year-old player entered the club's history books in 2024, when he scored the winning penalty for the 'Blues' against Hapoel Be'er Sheva in the State Cup final.
