Parallel to Rivero: Maccabi Tel Aviv in negotiations with Fenerbahce center
The Yellows are looking for two centers. Parallel to the ex-player, they are holding talks with Armando Bacot who may join. The American struggled to integrate into the Turkish team this season and was released.

Maccabi Tel Aviv is in negotiations with American center Armando Bacot, as learned by "Hayom". The "Yellows" are at a crossroads in their search for two big men following the collapse of negotiations with Bruno Fernando and Marcus Bingham, and according to sources in Turkey, they have been holding talks in recent days with the center who played last season for Fenerbahce and may join the club.
Bacot (26, 2.08 m), who plays both frontcourt positions, was released a few weeks ago from the Turkish champions and is currently considered a free agent. The center struggled to adapt to Sarunas Jasikevicius' system; in the EuroLeague, he contributed 2.4 points and 1.8 rebounds per game in an average of only 10 minutes. In the Turkish league, he added 6 points alongside 3.4 rebounds.
At the same time, Maccabi has been negotiating in recent weeks with former team player Jasiel Rivero, who is considered a candidate to return to the team. The "Yellows" are interested in bringing back the frontcourt player who was released from Crvena Zvezda Belgrade, but throughout the talks, concerns arose regarding his condition following the injuries he underwent. According to sources, the center emphasized on his part that he is fully fit, and the talks between the parties are continuing.
As recalled, Maccabi Tel Aviv is looking for two centers to complement Roman Sorkin after deciding to release Zach Hankins and in light of the expected departure of Marcio Santos to college.
