Orlando Bloom dropped out of project at the last minute — production team is furious
The Hollywood star was set to co-produce and star alongside Priyanka Chopra in the independent thriller Reset, but backed out just before filming began.

This week it was revealed that Orlando Bloom will receive an international film award next month during his visit to the Venice Film Festival, where he will present the film Bucking Fastard. However, while he is being honored in Italy, he has managed to anger an entire production team back in Hollywood.
According to TMZ, Bloom dropped out at the last minute from the independent film Reset, in which he was supposed to star alongside Priyanka Chopra and serve as a co-producer. Sources within the production team state that the actor was involved in the project throughout the pre-production stage but left just as filming was set to begin.
Bloom's departure casts doubt on the future of the project. The film secured funding largely after Bloom and Chopra joined, and both were expected to assist in finding an international distributor. Now, the production team fears the film will be difficult to complete in its current form.
"The situation is completely screwed up," said sources familiar with the project.
There is intense resentment toward the star among the crew. As TMZ notes, unlike Bloom—who may not rely on the film's salary—the other crew members depend on it for their livelihood.
Reset is an independent survival thriller in which Chopra serves as both the lead actress and a producer. According to reports, she will make the final decision regarding Bloom's replacement. Three leading actors are already being considered, and the production must choose one quickly to stay on schedule.
