Orian Goren played 28 minutes in Barcelona's 2:2 draw in Birmingham

Barcelona finished Friday's friendly match against Birmingham in a 2:2 draw. Israeli teenager Orian Goren made his appearance in the 62nd minute. Jude Bellingham arrived at St. Andrew's and received a warm welcome from the fans of his first club, celebrating with them the opening goal scored by Dane August Priske in the 31st minute. The Spanish champions, playing without most of their international stars in a highly experimental lineup, equalized in the 42nd minute via a penalty from Egyptian forward Hamza Abd al-Karim, who also completed a brace following a goalkeeping error in the 60th minute.

Hansi Flick made a series of substitutions two minutes later, and among the six players introduced was 17-year-old Goren, who joined the first team's training camp for the first time. Along with the Israeli, who wore shirt number 26, Aaron Yaakobishvili also entered the pitch. The 20-year-old Jewish-Hungarian goalkeeper replaced Wojciech Szczęsny between the posts, but conceded an equalizer in the 68th minute to Colombian John Solis. It was a flattering result for the English second-division side, even against a largely anonymous Barca squad.

This game was Barcelona's first of their English training camp. On August 8, they will participate in a triple friendly tournament in Udine, facing Udinese and Nottingham Forest in shortened 45-minute matches, followed by the Gamper tournament against Al-Ahly on August 19. This will serve as the final preparation before their La Liga opener against Elche four days later.
