Computers, documents and cash: Police raided a gambling house in Ashdod

Fighters of the Sa'ar Brigade and detectives of the Ashdod station raided a complex in the city over the weekend as part of a search conducted under a warrant. During the operation, a business was uncovered that was suspected of operating as an illegal gambling house. Officers found computers suspected of being used to operate prohibited games, alongside various documents and cash. The forces collected testimonies from those present at the scene, and the woman in charge of the complex was detained for questioning at the police station for further investigation. The police stated that the operation is part of the ongoing fight against crime generators and places suspected of being used for criminal activity.

The operations officer of the Sa'ar Brigade, Chief Inspector Matti Tzarfati, said:

"The operation we are carrying out is part of the ongoing fight against crime generators and places used for criminal activity. We will continue to act with determination, to expose centers of this type, and to bring to justice those involved in their operation."
