Omer Nudelman reveals: The story behind the romance that led to a proposal

Sometimes the best stories are written precisely when you stop trying. When Omer Nudelman and Sean Simonovich first met, they were at completely different stages of their lives. For two years, they shared common social circles, met at a neighborhood cafe or at Pilates classes, but their acquaintance remained superficial.

However, after the end of their previous relationships and the highly publicized breakup of Nudelman from her former fiancé, businessman Ido Barniker, the way they looked at each other changed.

Just three months after that breakup, Nudelman felt ready for a relationship and knew exactly who she wanted by her side. While Simonovich was enjoying the single life, keeping his distance and giving her space, Nudelman decided to take matters into her own hands.

As they tell in an interview with La'Isha, she began responding to his stories until an opportunity arrived in the form of a white Ragdoll kitten named Marie. When Nudelman uploaded a picture of the kitten, Simonovich asked when he could drop by for a visit at the moshav.

What started as a short two-hour courtesy visit, during which Simonovich felt an "electric shock," very quickly turned into a romantic meeting around a bonfire. Although she says she served him "terrible" pasta, Simonovich ate it with pleasure, and from that moment on, the two became inseparable.

"Already at the first kiss, I felt butterflies in my stomach, an explosion of energy, and the feeling that I had arrived home," shared Nudelman.

Just four months after becoming an official couple, Nudelman moved into Simonovich's apartment in Tel Aviv. Half a year later, during a trip to New York last October, Simonovich pulled out a ring in Central Park in front of cheering passersby, after having gentlemanly asked her father for her hand in advance. Now, the two are preparing to walk to the chuppah on September 24, aiming to expand their family as soon as possible.
