Omer Niron signs with Maccabi Haifa for one season

Omer Niron signed today (Sunday) with Maccabi Haifa for one season, as revealed on ynet, following the agreement of his loan from Maccabi Netanya. The 25-year-old goalkeeper said after the signing: "I am happy to arrive at a huge club like Maccabi Haifa, with enormous challenges." The deal was finalized a few days after an agreement was reached between the clubs.
The goalkeeper, who played last season for Maccabi Netanya, will join the Greens on a loan contract for the upcoming season, with Haifa holding a purchase option of 1.4 million shekels at its conclusion. As recalled, Niron underwent surgery in London a few months ago and is currently in the final stages of his rehabilitation process; in the coming month, he will return to full training.
The goalkeeper is intended to serve initially as a backup for Omri Glazer. Meanwhile, the president of Maccabi Haifa, Yaakov Shahar, received a badge of honor for social action and unique contribution to strengthening the resilience of Israeli society from the President of the State, Isaac Herzog. At the event held at the President's Residence in Jerusalem, Herzog said:
