Ofira Assayag in shock: "Sara Netanyahu never raised her voice at an employee"

Nir Hefetz held a series of positions in the "Yedioth Ahronoth" media group, as well as public relations and advocacy roles for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Likud party. As part of the "Case 4000" investigation, he signed a state witness agreement.

In an interview with Ofira Assayag on Channel 12, Hefetz addressed the testimonies published from time to time regarding hostile treatment and alleged bullying by the Prime Minister's wife toward residence staff. "I was there from 2009 until 2018, with a small break in the middle," Hefetz noted.

Following this, the communications advisor said firmly:

"The truth, Ofira, I am looking you in the eyes: I have never heard Sara raise her voice at an employee, nor say a racist remark. From 2009 until 2018, she yelled at me only once when I brought Ben Caspit for an interview with Bibi. She called on the phone and was really very angry. I did not see what is being described, but I have heard testimonies from employees."

As recalled, on February 18, 2018, Hefetz was arrested by the police and questioned as part of the Bezeq-Elovitch investigation (known as Case 4000) on suspicion of bribery. On March 5, after about two weeks in detention, he signed a state witness agreement. As part of the agreement, Nir Hefetz committed to permanently refrain from holding public office. In addition to his testimony, he provided a USB drive and mobile phones containing information. In December 2021, he testified as part of the Netanyahu trial.
