Ofer Winter's Party Surges in Media Coverage Ahead of Knesset Elections
A new report reveals that Ofer Winter's newly formed party, Amech Yisrael, has surged in media coverage, ranking fourth in push notifications and outperforming several veteran factions.
Brigadier General (res.) Ofer Winter's entry into the Israeli political arena continues to generate widespread attention, with a new report revealing that media interest in his new party, Amech Yisrael, is breaking records.
Although the party announced its run for the Knesset less than a month ago, it has outpaced much older parties to establish a prominent position in news coverage rankings. The report, compiled by the Public Journalism Movement, examined the volume of news push notifications received by each party across leading news websites between August 30 and September 19.
According to the data, Winter's party secured fourth place with 213 push notifications. Only three parties surpassed it during this period: the ruling Likud party at the top of the pyramid with 974 alerts, the Yashar! movement with 285, and Otzma Yehudit with 216 alerts.
The most intriguing finding is the significant gap Winter has opened against veteran political players. Amech Yisrael receives nearly triple the media volume of Avigdor Lieberman's Yisrael Beytenu, which garnered only 83 alerts. Furthermore, Winter surpassed parties such as Bezalel Smotrich's Religious Zionism (145), the Be-Yachad list led by Naftali Bennett (128), and Yair Golan's The Democrats (108).
The list concludes with the reservists' party (70), Blue and White (64), Ra'am (44), Shas (39), United Torah Judaism (22), the Joint List (9), and the Haredi Public Party (5).
