Ofer Hayun says goodbye to his father: "You didn't get to know him, watch over us from above"
Israeli actor Ofer Hayun shares his reflections one year after his father's passing. He speaks about the profound impact of this loss and the comfort he finds in the belief that his father is still watching over his family.

About a year ago, Ezra Hayun, the father of beloved actor Ofer Hayun, passed away. His health had been in decline for several years due to the dementia he suffered from.
Today, a year after the event that shook his world, the actor shared a heartfelt post on his Instagram page to honor his father's memory: "Dad. A year has passed—a tumultuous year, a year of bottomless abysses alongside the boundless expansion of the heart. The world continued as usual, yet at the same time, it changed completely."
"You passed away exactly one month before my birthday," he continued sadly. "On my birthday, I already knew that you would send us a child. A month later, we found out he was on his way. Even from above, you take care to do only good for us. The biggest missed opportunity is that you didn't get to know him."
"I miss you always," actor Hayun concluded his farewell. "Watch over us from above, watch over Mom."
As previously mentioned, Ezra Hayun's condition had been deteriorating for years. The actor had often spoken about his father's struggle with dementia, which led to multiple hospitalizations and a growing need for constant nursing care.
