The guarantees from Nvidia will help OpenAI lease a 10-gigawatt project currently being developed by SoftBank's energy subsidiary in southern Ohio. In total, the cost of the project could exceed $500 billion, including the specialized chips to be installed, making it the largest data center project announced to date.
