Netanyahu: "Convinced of our ability to topple the regime in Iran"

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that toppling the regime in Iran is the central mission facing Israel, adding that it is "close" and "within reach." He made these remarks during a toast for the Jewish New Year 5787 with Defense Minister Israel Katz, IDF Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, and members of the IDF General Staff Forum at the Kirya in Tel Aviv.

Netanyahu stated that the Iranian regime is "stumbling," "weaker than ever," and "fighting for its life." According to him, Israel has distanced the threat from a regime that aspires to destroy it and arm itself with nuclear bombs, as well as other threats.

"I am convinced of our ability to remove this threat once and for all. That is, to topple this regime. This is the central mission that is still before us, but it is close. It is not impossible. It is within reach," said the Prime Minister.

Later, Netanyahu praised the soldiers of the IDF, the pilots, the female pilots and navigators, the Home Front Command, and the people of Israel. He added: "I say to our enemies – do not mess with us. If you have learned anything, do not mess with us. We have the power, the determination, and the internal unity to overcome you."
