New Collective Agreement at Arkia: Salary Hikes and Enhanced Social Benefits
The Histadrut and Arkia management have signed a collective agreement for aircraft maintenance staff, securing salary increases and expanded social benefits through the end of 2028.
The Histadrut, Arkia management, and representatives of the workers' committee signed a new collective agreement on Monday, regulating the working conditions of aircraft maintenance sector employees through the end of 2028. The agreement introduces a series of economic improvements, significantly enhancing salary conditions, social security, and employee rights.
Key Provisions of the Agreement

Significant Salary Increases: To be implemented in three stages throughout the agreement period. These increases will be integrated into the base salary, affecting all related pay components.

Expansion of Social Rights: Starting January 2026, contributions to pension, severance pay, disability insurance, and training funds will be expanded to cover additional salary components, including evening, night, Friday, and overtime pay.

Role Allowance: Paid to technicians utilizing two licenses (avionics and airframe-engine).

Increased Per Diem: Higher rates for employees traveling abroad on company business.

Improved Retirement Conditions: Eligibility for a special grant is now set at 25 years of continuous service, down from the previous 35-year requirement.

Car Expense Reimbursement: The reimbursement ceiling has been significantly increased to cover annual licensing and comprehensive insurance.

Retroactive Payment: Salary adjustments due under the agreement will be paid in the September 2026 payroll (covering August).
Nir Eisenberg, Deputy Chairman of the Transport Workers' Union, stated that the agreement dramatically improves social security for maintenance staff and provides a horizon for company growth. Keren Kalper, Director of the Aviation Division, added that the deal successfully restores the seniority mechanism that had been impacted during the COVID-19 crisis.
Arkia management, including CEO Oz Berlovich and Maintenance Institute Director Igal Cohen, praised the staff for their expertise and commitment to safety, noting that the agreement is the result of a productive and collaborative dialogue.
