The phenomenon of 'Married at First Sight' (Keshet 12) has long ceased to be just a social experiment for finding love, becoming a springboard for digital presence and popularity on social networks. The eighth season of the program proved once again that exposure on the small screen is immediately translated into a surge in the number of followers on Instagram.

For the stars of the season, the openness in front of the cameras, the exciting moments, and the daily dramas turned into a flood of Instagram followers, as the Israeli public followed them in droves from the television screen to thousands of feeds on the web.

The digital growth leader of the season is Neta Menashe, who became one of the most beloved and talked-about figures. Neta began her journey on the program almost under the digital radar, with only 488 followers. Her match with Aviatar Kahana, the significant process they went through together in the north of the country during reserve duty, alongside the painful and touching story about the loss of her close friend Moshe (RIP), completely captured the hearts of the viewers. The emotional peak at the moment of the decision, when the two chose to continue together and were surprised with flight tickets to Greece, was well reflected in the numbers: her Instagram page jumped to 11,000 followers — a meteoric rise that expresses the warm embrace she received from the public.

Alongside her, Noy Itach also recorded impressive growth, climbing from 1,683 to 14,000 followers. The 30-year-old programmer from Tel Aviv, who was matched with Aviatar Dangur, sparked an active public discourse around issues of body image and the boundaries of exposure. The famous 'jacuzzi' storm alongside viral quotes from their car trips made her a central focus of interest. Her partner, Aviatar Dangur, who brought with him a complex life story of personal loss, also experienced a jump in presence on the web from 892 to 4,855 followers, as the audience followed the ups and downs of their relationship.

The one who holds the crown in the total number of followers among the season's participants is Vicky Halimi. When she entered the program, Vicky already held a solid base of about 10,000 followers thanks to her career as a dance teacher and professional dancer. Following her participation, the drama with her partner Omer Bar and the exposure of a new relationship in her private life, her account climbed to 24,200 followers — who said she came only for publicity?

Similarly, Noa Moses recorded a huge jump from 3,000 to 17,100 followers, as the audience followed her complex dynamic with Ari Goldberg, her coping with a family tragedy during filming, and the brave way she dealt with the criticism on the web.

Completing the picture are Niv Argov and Asaf Vered. Niv, a high-tech analyst who started with only 764 followers, reached 10,000 following the interest surrounding her relationship status with Asaf. Asaf Vered, the chef who was matched with her, jumped from 514 to 5,250 followers. The steep rise in followers proves once again that the way to the heart of the Israeli viewer does indeed pass through prime-time television, but the long-term relationship of the stars with the audience continues to flourish in the feed on the phone.
