Ten years of a photogenic relationship, five children, endless rumors of breakups, and a ring valued at approximately 5 million dollars have led to a long-awaited moment. Last week, Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at their new home in Cascais, Portugal. Defying tabloid expectations, the couple opted for a low-key celebration rather than a grand production.

The couple is now sharing details, including an official photo in their new status, on the cover of Vogue. Despite rumors of booking entire floors at the Savoy Palace hotel and a star-studded guest list, Georgina chose a different path:

"When I was a little girl, I dreamed of the biggest palace, a carriage, and a crown full of diamonds. Today, I say no. I want something intimate, with my partner and our children, at home. We have palaces, islands, and cars every day, but privacy is the rarest and most precious thing for us."

The ceremony took place in the living room of their new villa, which took seven years to build. "We chose to do it where we eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner, where we live our reality. In 30 years, I want the children to look at this table and know: something wonderful happened here — our parents' vows," Georgina shared. Ronaldo added with a smile: "We might change the table design eventually, but the essence remains."

Following the exchange of vows, the couple visited a church in Fatima, where a local priest provided a blessing in a private area to avoid public attention. There is no honeymoon on the horizon; the couple returned to Riyadh the very next day. "Every day is a honeymoon," says Ronaldo, noting that being husband and wife feels like entering a "different league."

The footballer, who has hinted that this may be his final year on the pitch, is already planning a future filled with travel and family time. When asked about the possibility of having more children to reach the lucky number 7, Ronaldo replies: "Never say never." Georgina is more cautious but admits: "I cannot imagine our home without small children."
