"We caught the assassin": After the dramatic liquidation - the main suspect in the Caesarea murder was arrested
After a tense manhunt lasting more than a day while waiting for the "golden intelligence," YAMAM fighters raided a warehouse near a residential building in Hadera and arrested the suspect in the murder of the head of the Caucasian mafia. Source in the investigation: the suspect was caught by surprise.

The main suspect in the liquidation of the head of the Caucasian mafia was arrested this evening in Hadera. Alongside the main suspect, other individuals were arrested and transferred for questioning. YAMAM fighters located the suspect hiding inside a warehouse in Hadera. A senior police officer stated after the arrest:
"We caught the assassin."
The police fear that the liquidation of this high-ranking target will destabilize the Sharon region. Following a manhunt and intelligence guidance from the Hof District Central Unit, the main suspect involved in the liquidation of Yanis Yushaev, which occurred two days ago in Caesarea, was arrested this evening (Tuesday) in Hadera.
The YAMAM operation and the "golden intelligence"
According to a police source, for more than a day, YAMAM fighters prepared for the arrest and waited for what they defined as the "golden intelligence" that would reveal the suspect's hiding place. While the manhunt was underway, the suspect was hiding in a warehouse near a residential building in the Hadera area. The breakthrough came after long hours of waiting: intelligence information pointed to the location, and YAMAM fighters arrived at the scene and closed in on him. The suspect was caught by surprise inside the warehouse and arrested.
Police Commissioner Rav-Nitzav Dani Levy praised the actions of the YAMAM fighters and the Hof District Central Unit officers. "The Israel Police will continue to act with determination to investigate the case, locate all those involved, and bring them to justice," the police clarified.
The dramatic liquidation
The incident occurred two days ago when the head of the criminal organization known as the Caucasian mafia, Yanis Yushaev, was shot to death at a gas station near Caesarea. A MADA team evacuated him to the Hillel Yaffe Hospital in Hadera in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the head, but his death was eventually determined despite resuscitation efforts.
Yanis Yushaev was considered a high-ranking target by law enforcement and police intelligence. He managed businesses in the food and restaurant sector and was a central target of the Hof District Police Central Unit. Despite repeated attempts by the police to thwart his activities, he was considered a criminal who was difficult to incriminate. Yushaev had many connections in the underworld, and his name was mentioned in many conflicts involving criminal elements in the Or Akiva, Caesarea, and surrounding areas, most of which were related to extortion.
The police noted that this is not just another murdered criminal, but a significant figure whose liquidation may destabilize the region. Consequently, the police are preparing for the possibility that various elements will attempt acts of revenge or that new conflicts in the criminal world will emerge. The main fear is a security and criminal deterioration in the area, which may cost the lives of innocent people.
Attorney Yaron Shomron, representing the suspect, stated:
"My client denies any connection to the murder, has never met the deceased and does not know him. There is no conflict between them, and he is sure that he will be released in the coming days. He is in shock from the arrest; YAMAM forces stormed him as if he were a dangerous terrorist about to carry out an attack."
