Alperovich will replace Toni Cohen, who announced the end of her tenure after five years in the position and 13 years in the Maccabi group, for a new professional challenge outside the healthcare system.
Alperovich comes to the position with nearly two decades of management experience, during which he held a series of senior roles in large and complex organizations. In his last role, he served for three years as head of the Northern District at Maccabi Healthcare Services. Previously, he served as CEO of the Mei Eden group in Israel as well as CEO of the company SIP WELL in Belgium.
Throughout his career, Alperovich has been involved in managing large-scale systems, significant budgets, and thousands of employees. Alongside day-to-day management, he led processes of growth, innovation, digital transformation, and business development in the fields of service and healthcare.
Shaya Zilonka, Chairman of the Board of Directors of MaccabiDent, thanked the outgoing CEO for her activity over the years:
«We thank Toni Cohen for five years of impressive leadership, commitment, and immense contribution to the development of MaccabiDent.»
According to him, Alperovich brings with him «rich management experience and proven capabilities in leading large systems,» alongside deep familiarity with the fields of health and service.
Cohen herself summarized her time at the company and said that in recent years, MaccabiDent has undergone a significant process of «growth, innovation, and building strong infrastructure.» According to her, parting with the teams and employees is the hardest part of the decision, and she concludes the role «with great pride and full confidence in the organization's resilience and its continued success.»
Alperovich, the incoming CEO, thanked the board for their trust in him and said that he sees MaccabiDent as a «leading, professional, and solid organization.» According to him, he intends to work together with the company's management and employees to continue and establish its position, develop new services, and maintain the quality of treatment and service for patients.
According to company data, the network's doctors provide service to about 1,000,000 patients annually. The new appointment is expected to lead MaccabiDent to further development of operations, expansion of services, and continued focus on innovation and quality of care.
