Nir Yahav, a senior editor at Walla who led the culture section—widely considered one of the site's most significant departments—has recently departed after 19 years with the company.

It was announced this evening that his successor will be journalist Adi Gold. Gold, who joined the Walla editorial team in November 2025, is stepping into this coveted role.

Gold brings over two decades of rich experience in the worlds of culture, media, and journalism. His notable career includes serving as editor of the "7 Nights" supplement for "Yedioth Ahronoth," working as the newspaper's New York correspondent, and editing the television program "Anashim" ("People"). In recent years, he served as CEO of the Israeli Directors Guild and most recently as the homepage editor for Walla.

As previously reported, Yahav has moved into the world of PR and communications, taking on a new role as culture manager at the Debi Communications agency. He joins a growing list of senior journalists who have announced their departure from the site.
