Nine Recruits Fall Ill with Abdominal Pain at Nitzanim Military Base

Nine female recruits at the Nitzanim military base suffered from severe abdominal pain, sparking panic among soldiers and parents. Initial suspicions of spoiled meat were ruled out following medical checks. However, parents reported disputes among kitchen staff regarding whether to serve a specific meat dish prepared for the holiday, which was ultimately served to the diners.

One of the affected soldiers fainted while on guard duty due to weakness and broke her arm. While nine soldiers reported symptoms, only two were transferred to a hospital, while the rest received medical treatment on-base. An IDF spokesperson stated that no widespread illness was detected, and medical teams are monitoring the situation.
