Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has signaled a major overhaul of the Israeli housing market, stating his intention to dismantle the Israel Land Authority (ILA), which he described as a "massive monopoly."

Speaking in a recent interview, Netanyahu addressed high housing prices and revealed that previous efforts to extract public land from the agency's control fell short. "Wait, it will come," Netanyahu said, adding that he previously forced about ten percent of public land out of their control, but it remains insufficient.

In the same interview, the Prime Minister took direct aim at the agricultural lobby, offering an unequivocal commitment: "I will dismantle the agricultural lobby. Unequivocally."

Addressing potential international banking sanctions, Netanyahu also disclosed that he has instructed officials to prepare alternative financial mechanisms, including exploring blockchain technology and digital currencies to bypass traditional banking systems if necessary.

Following criticism from the Bank of Israel regarding his proposals, Netanyahu defended his economic track record in a subsequent interview on Channel 14. "I hear the objections and take them into account. I have constantly received advice, much of it from the Bank of Israel," he said, while emphasizing his history of breaking monopolies, reducing public waste, and lowering taxes to drive economic prosperity.
