Police Officer Moderately Injured in Netanya Vehicle Collision

A police officer was moderately injured on Saturday evening in Netanya after a driver refused to stop for inspection and crashed into a police cruiser. The driver was arrested for questioning.

According to the Israel Police, the unusual incident occurred during targeted enforcement activity against life-threatening traffic violations. Officers from the Netanya station in the Central District signaled the driver to stop, but he ignored the instructions, continued driving, and collided with the patrol vehicle.

As a result of the crash, the officer sustained moderate injuries, while the driver was lightly injured. Magen David Adom (MDA) teams evacuated both to Laniado Hospital in the city. The incident took place on Simcha Erez Street in Netanya, and the circumstances are currently under investigation.
