Netaeli Shem-Tov on Channel 12: Keren Marciano Demands Answers

The political landscape for small parties in Israel is at a boiling point, with only eight days remaining (September 9 and 10) until the final closing of the lists for the 26th Knesset.

While parties struggling to cross the electoral threshold are engaged in a frantic race for mergers, an interview with Netaeli Shem-Tov, representing the "Amcha Yisrael" party led by Ofer Winter, has become a focal point of the current political storm.

Former journalist Netaeli Shem-Tov, who previously worked for both Channel 12 and Channel 13, faced a rigorous interview on Channel 12 with Keren Marciano, who pressed her on several contentious issues.

Marciano confronted her with Winter's past statement that he would have resigned had he been prime minister on October 7, which stands in contrast to the party's current declaration that they would recommend only Benjamin Netanyahu for the premiership. Shem-Tov argued that "Ofer presented his concept of responsibility as an individual." When Marciano pushed for a clearer answer, Shem-Tov added:

"When Winter is asked to choose between Benjamin Netanyahu and Gadi Eisenkot, he chooses Benjamin Netanyahu."

During the interview, Shem-Tov stated unequivocally that Benjamin Netanyahu is "certainly responsible for the October 7 failure," adding that "everyone involved will be investigated and will face justice," though she refrained from endorsing the establishment of a state commission of inquiry.

Furthermore, Shem-Tov issued a firm message to other right-wing parties, calling on them to abandon "political extortion" and personal aspirations for the premiership. She explained that "Amcha Yisrael" intends to join the government to demand fundamental changes, including the integration of Haredim into the IDF, a decisive military victory, immigration policy, and the advancement of legal reform.
