Neta Menashe from 'Married at First Sight' on the breakup: 'The disappointment was very hard'
Neta Menashe and Evyatar Kahana built a relationship in front of the cameras, but it did not survive the test of reality and they broke up. After watching themselves on screen together caused them to get back together, they now tell in a joint interview what led them to give love another chance.
The whole country hoped to hear that the relationship between Neta Menashe and Evyatar Kahana from 'Married at First Sight' survived the life after the show. After a rollercoaster that included a breakup after filming and reconnecting, the two arrived for a joint interview on 'Morning News' and revealed what caused them to return to each other.
With the end of filming, the two experienced a breakup that hurt not only them, but also their families.
"It was an almost real wedding, the parents came in their best clothes and cried. They really felt that we got married and the disappointment was very hard," shared Neta. — "We didn't imagine returning, that wasn't an option. Everyone had already moved on and we continued. It was unexpected."
After the difficult breakup, the couple shared that what brought them back together was watching their relationship unfold on screen.
"We saw our story anew, we were in a rift and there were moving episodes that made me say 'There is no way we are not talking'," said Evyatar. — "I watched the episodes in Jerusalem and remembered how much love and feelings were there."
How are the reactions on the street?
Evyatar: "Incessant, everyone is emotionally invested in it and there are many hopes on our shoulders. We have many aunts and uncles all over the country who say 'When is the wedding? There is no time, you are not getting any younger'."
Neta: "Yesterday we were at the sea, we couldn't get into the water. It is exciting and an honor that people are so invested. There are also those who allow themselves to express their opinion without us asking, they told me 'You are not suitable for him'."
How did it feel during filming when Evyatar disappeared for a period for reserve duty (miluim)?
Neta: "I was the one who was in the career army most of my life, and suddenly I was in a different position, but it paid off."
Evyatar: "We talked behind the scenes that it is a bit unfair that Neta is the one waiting for me at home. She knew one-to-one what I was going through, even though what she did was much more extreme. I knew I was coming with the baggage of reserve duty, and for Neta it came as a surprise. I had the hope that it would be possible to create love within this chaos. I wanted it to be a hope both for myself and for the people who will see themselves through me."
