Travel management technology company Navan has signed a revolving credit facility agreement of up to $225 million led by Barclays, alongside an amendment to an existing credit line with Goldman Sachs from 2022, which includes a partial early repayment.

Led by CEO Ariel Cohen, the company went public on Nasdaq a year ago, raising $923 million. On its first day of trading, the stock plummeted by 20% and continued to drop, reaching a low in March of this year where its price was 66% lower than the IPO price. Subsequently, the stock surged by about 200%, and even after weakening over the past month, it currently trades at a price just 5% lower than its IPO price, reflecting a market capitalization of approximately $6.2 billion.

Boosting Financial Flexibility

At the end of the second quarter, Navan held approximately $800 million in cash and short-term investments. Analyst Samad Samana from investment bank Jefferies commented on Navan's announcement, writing that the company is adding "dry powder"—a term describing available and accessible capital—while reducing its borrowing costs and increasing financial flexibility.

"More importantly, according to company management, the new credit line supports the growth of the corporate card and expense management business. Although still a small fraction of total revenue, we see it as a potential further accelerator and a source of upside for Navan," the analyst wrote. Samana added that the partial early repayment on the existing credit facility amounts to $36 million out of $250 million, noting that the new credit line reduces the company's overall interest rate.

Founded in 2015 by CEO Cohen and CTO Ilan Twig, Navan provides a platform designed for corporate travel management, payment services, and corporate expenses.

Financial Outlook and Acquisitions

According to the company's forecast, Navan expects to finish 2026 with revenues between $927 million and $933 million, representing a 32% growth compared to 2025 at the midpoint of the guidance. Operating profit on a Non-GAAP basis is projected to reach $35.5 million to $36.5 million.

In the first half of the year, company revenues grew by 37.5% to $453 million, and it narrowed its GAAP net loss by 50% to $49.6 million. On a Non-GAAP basis, Navan transitioned from a net loss to a net profit of $35.3 million for the half-year. Alongside the earnings report, Navan announced the acquisition of BoomPop, a developer of an AI-based platform for meetings and events, for approximately $95 million in cash and stock.

Jefferies maintains a "Buy" recommendation on Navan stock with a price target of $26, representing a 10% premium over the current price. According to analyst Samana, the recent pullback in Navan's share price offers an opportunity to evaluate its compelling valuation, viewing the current price as an attractive entry point.
