Naftali Bennett: 'Hamas Has Rehabilitated Before Nir Oz'

Former Prime Minister and Chairman of the "Beyad" party Naftali Bennett arrived on Tuesday at Nativ HaAsara in the Gaza envelope. He delivered pointed remarks sharply criticizing the government of Benjamin Netanyahu, accusing it of abandoning the border communities and allowing Hamas to strengthen under its watch.

"After the terrible massacre that took place on this blood-soaked land, an entire nation swore: never again. But I am raising a red flag today: what was, is happening now, even more so. Hamas rehabilitated itself before Nir Oz. The Israeli government has simply thrown up its hands. Qatar, the one who funded the Nukhba, has taken the reins back, and now a 'Hamastan' is rising again under our noses. Decisions about Gaza are being made far from Jerusalem, in Doha," Bennett stated.

According to Bennett, Hamas currently has more armed terrorists than it did on October 7th. The organization has rehabilitated its command structure, appointed battalion and brigade commanders, rearmed with long-range missiles and drones, and is actively digging new tunnels. He argued that current agreements reward Hamas and Qatar for the October 7th massacre without requiring genuine disarmament.

"A direct line connects the Prime Minister's Office in Jerusalem to what is happening here behind the fence. Netanyahu brought Qatar into the Prime Minister's Office and gave them the keys to Gaza. We will kick Qatar out of the Prime Minister's Office and out of Gaza, as that is the only way to deal with Hamas," he added.

In conclusion, Bennett outlined the priorities for a future government:

1. Officially designating Qatar, which acts to destroy Israel, as an enemy state.

2. Ensuring Hamas is completely disarmed before moving forward.

3. Establishing a state commission of inquiry to prevent another October 7th.

4. Rehabilitating Nir Oz, the envelope communities, and the entire North.
