Jose Mourinho has returned to Real Madrid and wasted no time in making his mark. The Portuguese coach evaluated the operations at the Valdebebas training complex and decided to introduce a series of changes affecting not only training sessions but almost every aspect of the players' daily lives.

According to "Marca", Mourinho demands greater control and supervision regarding nutrition, injury recovery, and arrival times. His goal is clear: less personal freedom and more structure, all for the benefit of team performance.

One of the most notable changes concerns team bonding. The club recently shared a photo of the entire squad and staff eating together at Valdebebas, a practice that was not routine until now. Mourinho views this as vital for team building.

"He wants to strengthen the team and the sense of unity, and it is turning out to be an inspiring move," a club source said. Another added: "The atmosphere is very, very good."

Real Madrid places special importance on this shift following the tense conclusion of last season.

Regarding nutrition, player autonomy has been reduced. The nutritionist's role is no longer merely advisory; they now dictate menus in a strict and orderly fashion, including breakfasts and snacks. Every detail is planned with performance in mind, leaving little room for personal choice.

The punishment policy has also evolved. Instead of financial fines, players who arrive late face individual workouts in the gym, isolated from the team. All players are required to be at Valdebebas an hour before activities begin, with no exceptions made regardless of status or hierarchy.

Mourinho has also tightened rules on injury recovery. Injured players must conduct their rehabilitation at Valdebebas, both morning and afternoon. Even if they work with personal trainers, all treatment must be supervised by the club's professional staff. External treatments are no longer permitted.
