Mitch Goldhar on the way to an exit: millions will enter the coffers

Goldhar on the way to an exit: ex-Maccabi Tel Aviv player demands to leave Charleroi after an offer from Saudi Arabia was rejected (he has already missed 2 training sessions). The 'Yellows' are entitled to 20% of the future deal's profits plus solidarity fees, which are expected to bring the club hundreds of thousands to millions of euros.

Maccabi Tel Aviv owner Mitch Goldhar is known for his balanced and sharp business management. Over the years, the Canadian businessman has managed to get his hands on many young talents and secure future profit clauses, allowing the club to cash in even years after the players no longer wear the yellow uniform. Now, it seems that Goldhar's next exit is just around the corner.

A hot development in the European transfer market concerns midfielder Parfait Guiagon, a player for Belgium's Charleroi and an ex-Maccabi Tel Aviv player. Guiagon boycotted his team's last two training sessions and is putting heavy pressure on management to get permission to leave. According to reports in the Belgian media, the player's move comes after a tempting financial offer was received for him from Saudi Arabia — but Charleroi's management chose to reject it.

As recalled, Guiagon recently signed a two-year contract extension at Charleroi until June 2028, after becoming the club's leading player last season with an impressive record of 12 goals and five assists. He has already managed to start the current season in positive form, having drawn a penalty and scored it against Leuven.

For Maccabi Tel Aviv, the midfielder's transfer will translate into immediate and significant financial profit. The 'Yellow' club holds 20% of the profits from Guiagon's future sale, along with eligibility for solidarity fees. If the player is sold for 5 million euros — the amount he is currently valued at on the Transfermarkt website — Maccabi Tel Aviv will bring about 730 thousand euros into its coffers. If the deal value climbs to 10 million euros, the 'Yellows' share will stand at about 1.78 million euros.
