Israeli Star Michal Weitzman Pioneers New 24-Hour Breast Augmentation
Israeli children's star Michal Weitzman underwent a breast augmentation using a revolutionary 24-hour recovery method introduced by Dr. Eran Millet at Sheba Medical Center, offering local anesthesia and rapid healing.

Israeli children's star Michal Weitzman, widely known as "Michal HaKtana" (Little Michal), has undergone a breast augmentation surgery utilizing an innovative 24-hour recovery method introduced to Israel for the first time. The procedure was performed using the advanced technique championed by Dr. Eran Millet, a senior plastic and reconstructive surgeon at Sheba Medical Center.
The groundbreaking method allows patients to undergo the procedure under local anesthesia, return home within an hour, and resume normal routines as early as the following day. Dr. Millet, who operates a clinic in Ramat HaHayal, is currently the exclusive provider of this technique in Israel. The technology was developed by the international medical device company Establishment Labs, the creators of Motiva breast implants.
How the Innovative Technique Works
Unlike traditional breast augmentation, which involves separating chest tissues to create a pocket for the implant, the new method utilizes a specialized balloon device. The surgeon creates a small pathway, inserts the balloon, and carefully inflates it to expand the tissue. Once removed, the implant is inserted through a small incision using a specialized sleeve, positioning the implant above the pectoral muscle without severing it.
Clinical trials and international data from the United States, published in the Aesthetic Surgery Journal, highlight the rapid recovery timeline. Patients typically return to daily activities within a day, while physical exercise can usually be resumed after two weeks, compared to the six-week recovery period required by conventional methods.
Meeting Changing Aesthetic Demands
Dr. Millet notes a shifting preference among patients in his consultation room toward smaller, more natural-looking results paired with minimized downtime. "Women are asking for a change that suits their body and want to know immediately how long they will need to be away from work," Dr. Millet explained. "The ability to undergo augmentation without general anesthesia and return to work the next day is a significant factor in their decision."
