"We just finished filming 'The Beauty Queen of Jerusalem', I am directing a new production of my own adaptation of Shakespeare's 'Macbeth', and of course 'Guys and Dolls', which we launched just a month ago. This is a new theater that was born to perform plays in the original language — you have to be a bit original to offer something in the Broadway style in Israel."
"We have 20 musicians on stage, live music, and Shelly Binman, the show's musical director, did an incredible job; it's not something you see every day," he shared. "The goal was to take our relative advantage as a small theater and put it at the center. I call it the 'heavenly orchestra' because I wanted it to be an integral part of the play itself. The musical work done here is unique, and it feels a bit like coming to see a concert."
"There is no doubt that our performers sing wonderfully. The experience makes you feel as if you bought a plane ticket to New York for a moment, sat in a theater hall, and gained something that feels like being abroad."
"I am so happy that 'The Voice' returned to the screen; there was a very long break. When the program first arrived, it broke all the rules, competition between franchisees intensified, and I believe it is the best program in the world. There was an unnecessary break, in my opinion, during which the USA managed to produce over 40 seasons. Changing the mentor lineup, and the fact that they are young this season, serves to refresh and renew the screen."
"I don't think that Noa, Eden, or Static, because of their age, have less to say than other mentors who sat in those chairs," he added regarding the choice of mentors. "People might have missed the sharpness of previous seasons, but even here there are intense discussions, and the contestants arriving are unique voices. There are a few more huge singers who will take the stage that you haven't heard yet."
