Port Miami Hits 10 Million Passengers as Royal Caribbean Expands West Coast Cruises
Port Miami hosts over 10 million passengers in 2026, while Royal Caribbean launches new West Coast cruises from Los Angeles starting this October.
Port Miami has broken all-time records by hosting over 10 million passengers in 2026, marking a 17% surge compared to previous highs with over 30 cruise ships operating from the port.
Simultaneously, Royal Caribbean is expanding its itineraries on the West Coast. Starting October 2026, the company will offer short 3-to-4-night cruises from Los Angeles aboard the Ovation of the Seas, heading to Catalina Island in California and Ensenada in Mexico.
Guests will enjoy culinary experiences at the Izumi Teppanyaki restaurant and the Pesky Parrot cocktail bar, alongside upgraded entertainment venues, panoramic suites, and newly designed pool decks.
Udi Schnabel, CEO of Senorama, the exclusive representative of Royal Caribbean in Israel, noted that the booming cruise industry offers Israeli travelers an unprecedented combination of a West Coast U.S. trip and a luxury cruise starting from $249 per person.
